Bonus for curriculum excellence: Bonus amounts

Su cuantía viene regulada por la Ley de presupuestos de la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia de cada año y, teniendo en cuenta lo dispuesto en el artículo 5º del Decreto 55/2004, la percepción de los complementos estará supeditada "al límite consignado para este fin en los presupuestos de la Consellería de Educación y Ordenación Universitaria y a la previsión presupuestaria de cada universidad".

It must be taken into account that the bonus paid is established by segments, with each segment equivalent to one point. For purposes of payment the evaluations are calculated as whole numbers. However, values equal to or greater than 0.75 will be considered as a full point.

ACTUAL POINT SCORE OBTAINED POINT SCORE SOLELY FOR PURPOSES OF PAYMENT

Example:

If a point score of 4.5 segments is obtained (basic evaluation + additional evaluation)

Example:

There will be 4 segments taken into account for purposes of payment

Example:

If a point score of 4.75 segments is obtained (basic evaluation + additional evaluation)

Example:

There will be 5 segments taken into account for purposes of payment

* For purposes of consolidation of the segments, only the point score obtained in the basic evaluation will be taken into account

Special cases

  • Maternity and paternity: as exceptional cases, applicants who have taken a leave of absence for maternity or paternity during the period being considered for the evaluation may incorporate achievements that took place in a time interval identical to that of the leave taken. This time period will always be the one occurring immediately prior to the evaluation period. 
    Example: If the evaluation period stipulated in the call for applications is January 1, 2002 to December 31, 2006 and the applicant had a 3-month leave of absence for maternity or paternity during 2003, the evaluation period considered will be from October 1, 2001 until December 31, 2006.

    * It is essential that any such leave of absence be duly verified at the time of the application. 

  • • Special services: if a member of the teaching and research staff complies with all of the requirements for this bonus and is also in a situation of special services, an application may still be submitted for the evaluation. However, any resulting economic effects will begin once the staff member is incorporated into his or her work position. 

 

There are two categories differentiated within the research area: one for research and one for knowledge transfer and dissemination. Submittal of achievements in this area is conditioned upon these two categories, with no more than 4 achievements being submitted under each category.
