As a continuation of the process initiated in 2007, where the agencies ACSUG, ANECA, and AQU publicly presented the AUDIT Program to Spanish higher-education departments/universities/institutions, and given the high degree of acceptance obtained by the designs during the evaluation phase, the ACSUG, ANECA, and UNIBASQ considered it appropriate to create a Certification Model for Implementation of Quality Guarantee Systems (SGCs) within university schools and departments.
